At Crestmead State School, we have a support team who uses a multi-tiered system of support to support our students in the following ways:
- Academic and engagement
- Wellbeing and emotional
- Social and behavioural
A referral process is required for students. Teachers initiate this process in consultation with parents/caregivers.
Staff who are part of this team include:
- deputy principals
- Head of Special Education Services
- guidance officer
- support teachers
- speech language pathologist
- social worker
- chaplain
- teaching assistants
- Advisory Visiting Teachers (AVT)
- regional nurse
- regional occupational therapist and physio.
