Crestmead State School's Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) executive members are:
- President: Kelly McKay
- Vice Presidents: Amy Hulin
- Secretary: Kelly McKay
- Treasurer: Zoie Robertson
P&C work in productive partnership with the school principal and the community to promote the interests of the school, and facilitate its development and further improvement, to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.
P&Cs respectfully provide feedback and advice on school policies and activities, assist in providing resources to enhance student outcomes and are involved in a variety of school activities including fundraising activities and school functions.
P&Cs are established under the
Education (General Provisions) Act 2006 and
Education (General Provisions) Regulation 2017. Conflict and verbal abuse at these meetings is unacceptable. P&C’s are generally not a forum for complaints, although feedback of a more general nature will be noted and followed up later by the leadership team. Complaints and specific concerns are best raised with a member of the school leadership team at a separate time, when they will be able to follow up more effectively, much quicker and personally with parents.
Over many years the P&C team have been very active and productive. Along with the help of parent volunteers the P&C have succeeded in providing a wide range of facilities, equipment and student sponsorship, hosted numerous events and fetes.
The P&C is also a representative body of the families of Crestmead State School and participates in the development and review of some school policies such as school uniform. Executive members including the President, Secretary and Treasurer represent the school at training, meetings and events.
If you wish to contact the P&C either leave a message at the
